MY PASSION - Babycar

That would be my car!!!!!

The reason why I love my car is because of the memories that i have had with her.

(babycar waiting for a paint job)

Heck there have been times that I have been without a car for a year because of modifications that I was doing to my car. Some people have asked me why I bother to go through all that trouble. I simply reply it’s because it’s my passion. My car is like my baby, the time and the effort I have put into modifying my car is unimaginable, the money that I have spent on it is astronomical for a person of my age. However when the car comes out exactly the way I want it; it feels as though I am in heaven. The long wait the hard work finally pays off and that’s what really matters to me as an individual

How I got myself into my car is beyond me. However if I had to explain it, it would be simple.

It’s because I have a few stories of my car….as cliché as it is, I call her Babycar

Being dumb
Just having gotten my license I was one hell of an idiotic driver. Always speeding and gambling my life away without a cause. This time around I was driving trough a tunnel accelerating all the way. When I exited the tunnel my speedometer states that I am doing 220kmh. Then a few seconds after looking at my meter I looked at the road and I realize I was at a corner. I lost control and smashed into the side of the road.I thought i was going to die. However I opened my door and there wasn’t even a scratch on me.Thank god.

Falling for the wrong girl
It was my first time chasing a girl who was two years my senior. The words “you are like an angel to me” actually came out of my mouth. Thinking about that scene in the past I do feel like giving myself a slap for being such an idiot. Regardless it was there and then I actually hated my car for a bit because it was the first time I got laughed at. When In my head at that time I thought I was being a romantic.

Broken Hearted
Lost in life broken hearted and not giving a care about the world I found myself sitting on the roof of my car. I was with babycar at the airport crying my heart out while watching the planes take off. I have never felt ever so peaceful before at that point in time. Sometimes just sitting there and staring into nothing and watching time pass by is the best thing you could ever do.

The one?
It was my 4th date with a girl and we were just talking about life. Then the topic got kind of heavy when she told me the last few dates I had with her was her best days of her life. I told her felt the same way, it was there and then I actually held her hand and we both looked at each other and we kissed. I still remember it as though it was yesterday….my first kiss with a girl and it was in Babycar.

Sexay~~~
The windows were fogging up, it was getting hot and steamy and sweat was dripping down my forehead and hers. My clothes were still on and so were hers. Finally I just couldn’t take it anymore I winded down the windows because the air conditioning in babycar broke down on my 5th date with that special girl when we were on the way to dinner.

HAHAHAHAHA what were you readers getting excited about : )

My babycar My Passion

I have come to realize that I love my car not just because it’s a car but it also has a ton of memories stored within its soul. Only to me babycar would mean so much, regardless to other people its just a 400 horse powered racing car hehehe.

Friends

It’s always nice to know that you have friends. These people would always be there to cheer you up when you are down and at times even motivate you.

Lets face it everyone would have friends even the most hardened criminals would have them. Friends to me always start of as just normal people; it could be anyone really from the rich to the poor from fat to thin…..really anyone.

Normally they would start off probably as your work mate or even school mate. From there a bond would either be created or not. Not everyone would always succeed in becoming another person’s friend. Reason being is because sometimes two individuals might not just like each other as much. However if a bond is a created; these two individuals would most likely end up being friends. How a bond is created varies on each individual. Personally I have even had an enemy become a friend in the later years.

What is a friend?

In my own opinion there are many kinds of friends there are the ones that stick and the ones that are just there for the moment. Most of the time the friends which were there for the moment would have a valid reason for not being there anymore. Sometimes it could be because of different interests, work, marriage, studies and much more. Then there are the ones that stick, these are the friends that have been most likely with you since your childhood. These are friends which have been through everything with you the good and the bad. However take note sometimes its not how long these friends have been with you. It’s kind of complicated to explain but time doesn’t always play an important role when it comes to friendship.

I have had a friend which I knew since childhood. From then till now I probably could say that I have been his friend for nearly 15 years. However I have never went through anything with him. I never knew much about him nor did he know much about me, the only reason we were still friends was because we were in the same school and we played games with one another; other then that we never bothered about talking about anything else. Well its no surprise that his not my friend anymore since he stole from me.

Sometimes the oldest friend isnt't your best friend

I probably knew him for about only six months. Regardless I daresay he is possibly my best friend. Why I would say this is that I have gotten into trouble before and he bailed me out. There were also times when he even bothered to go through so much trouble to tutor me for my exams. Most importantly both of us talk to each other and try our best to help each other out.

Sometimes the newest friend could be your best friend.

In the end everyone probably has their own special story in life about their friendship with another person. No story would be exactly the same with another individual. However one thing still remains the same; that is everyone needs a friend.

Streets of Malaysia 2 - Sights and Sounds

Let’s start from what we can find in the main city of Malaysia which is Kuala Lumpur. From there we shall slowly venture out.

Kuala Lumpur was actually a mining city to begin with in the past. Therefore Kuala Lumpur has grown without any central planning whatsoever, so the streets in the older parts of the city are extremely narrow, winding and congested. In some parts of the city as well we see a hybrid of European and Chinese architecture of the past.

FLOOD IN KL (PLEASE CLICK LINK TO WATCH VIDEO)

Having mentioned that Kuala Lumpur never had central planning there are its major downsides. Flooding is one of the major problems in Kuala Lumpur; nevertheless there are projects that have been developed to aid this city with the flooding.

What makes Kuala Lumpur and the rest of Malaysia interesting is how the past and the present blend together. In Kuala Lumpur we can easily find old structures of the past amongst the newly developed buildings.

( Take note it was a monday when i took this picture or else this place would be full of clubbers)

Entertainment within the city is also unique. In most western countries night clubs would be post and new. However in Malaysia there is a particular clubbing district in the city. Locally known as heritage row we could find night clubs taking residence in old buildings. The outside looks very colonial however when we enter those clubs we see all the futuristic lights and music one could find in the present clubs of today.

Moving to another state in Malaysia called Penang we could also see the similarities of how the past blends with present. Such similarities are found in a street called gurney drive. We also find clubs taking up residences with buildings of the past within the city of Penang called Georgetown.

Another interesting area in Penang would be Batu Feringghi. This is where we find most of the hotels and resorts being developed in Penang. In the previous entry I did mention about Petaling Street in Kuala Lumpur and batu Feringghi does have some similarities. It is because at batu feringghi one could find fake goods as well. However this particular street mainly caters for tourist and because of that one could find all sorts off local delicacies and seafood since batu feringghi is located at the coastline.

In the end one may have many opinions about what can be found in Malaysia. However as a local I feel that I am lucky that there are so many things that can be found in one country. Even though in some states some streets have its similarities each of them are unique in its own special way.

Till then have a lil bit of fiz

Streets of Malaysia - Diversity in the City

Diversity in the city of Kuala Lumpur Malaysia

Driving through the city of Malaysia which is Kuala Lumpur one realizes there is so much this city can offer. From shopping to sightseeing, foods from the east and west, entertainment from the normal to the bizarre one can nearly find anything in Kuala Lumpur. Last but not least people just going around the city surviving the rat race.

"Nasi Lemak" one of the famous Malay cuisines

Past wooden architecture still dwelling within the city

Without even entering a single building one can simply be amused at the diversity which can be found on the streets of Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. We start of from a famous street called Kampung Baru. This street in particular is famous for its local foods. Most of the local Malay cuisine could be found here. However one should take note there is nothing fancy about this place, they are mainly filled with al fresco style dining but in a hawker style environment. What makes Kampung Baru special is that the majority of the residents whom reside here are the Malays. One would also realize that the past still exists in this area. This is found in its old wooden style architecture in most of the building in this street.

(Source; http://mywilayah.wordpress.com/2009/12/07/petaling-street)

Next we have Chinatown locally known as Petaling Street. Not to state the obvious the major residence here is of course Chinese. What makes this street unique is the fact that it actually feels like you are in a street in China when one is here. Instead of being famous this street is notorious for its fake goods. We could easily find expensive branded goods at a fraction of the price. (Mind you it’s not original of course). Personally I never spent much time in Petaling Street, reason being because it’s so hectic in there. We could always hear a seller shouting and buyers always haggling. However if one is street smart one could always walk away with a bargain. We could also find good food here but it’s more towards snacks and Chinese style fast food. Unlike Kampung Baru an ethnic cuisine is not really found here.

(Source;http://www.sepiamutiny.com/sepia/archives/brickfields.)

Last but not least we have Brickfields officially known as Little India since 2009. The fact that it could get that official title is because the majority which reside there are of course Indians. On this street we could find a vast variety of Indian cuisines. No beef here of course since the cow is a sacred animal for the Hindus. Nevertheless we can find all sorts of Indian foods from the normal to the bizarre and there are also a few vegetarian restaurants within this street. Brickfields is also famous for its cheap liquor, one could get premium liquor for a much cheaper price compared to the supermarkets. The location of this particular street also fascinates me as well as it is right beside KL Central which is the hub for trains which travel throughout Malaysia and the city.

Hence it is always nice to know we the locals are spoiled for variety just within our city…till then have a lil bit of fiz

Festivals

Stating the obvious, the Chinese New Year festival was a blast. Reunion dinners, ang pows , and of course the booze and gambling. Funny thing though, all that would have been better if I actually celebrated it personally. Those are just my friends brief descriptions of what my friend actually did for his Chinese New year celebration. However I am here to share an experience of festivals. Not just one but a few which have become festivals because people made it one. Happy people, celebration, music, smiles, to me that’s a festival not just religious beliefs but instead anything that could make someone celebrate and have a good time.

Scary? Where am I

Arrived in front of a warehouse, first thing that caught ones mind would be “where the hell am I.” First off all it was not a nice looking warehouse looked pretty rundown. However what made me feel at ease was the existence of cars and people queuing by the dozens. Skipping all the boring details we got into the warehouse, I asked my friend why did he drag me all the way to a warehouse god knows where claiming just to go out for a drink. So we walked through a tunnel and all a sudden BOOM!!!!!!! The music was loud and pumping and it was crazyyyyyy in there. There were floating skeletons, graveyards, and Captain America???? Shouting at my friend (it was too loud inside, so yes shouting!!) What is all this?? He just goes “Halloween bro Halloween”. I am not ignorant I know what Halloween is; it’s just that I never celebrated it. So words of advice to my fellow readers go for Halloween parties it’s the only time where u can dress up and you don’t get frowned upon. By the way that night, I actually had to explain why I was dressed up normally. My verdict of that night would be awesome simply awesome. I had a great time, the music was good and it was funny to see Madonna make out with superman.

Lights + Lasers + Music + DJ = Euphoric People
If my eardrums had a mouth they would be begging for mercy. The lights are crazy the lasers are awesome and the music….. BANGING! Not talking about the average loudness of music, but have you ever experienced music so soo SOO loud that your heart feels like jumping out of your body. Even if you actually stood still you somehow magically move just from the vibrations of the sound. Imagine you had a bomb, take some glue, and stick it to your ears light that bomb up and tadaaaa you get the idea. Most people call this festival a rave festival. It’s when a group of Dj’s come down play some music and people appreciate the sound it’s that simple. The best part is sometimes there is no real reason to have a rave and because of that, I love this festival.

Zzzzzzngggggg znnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggg znnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggggggg
If you actually had to wink you would miss what passed by…..Formula 1 is here!!!! ( F1 for short). F1 is one of the biggest race festivals known to the world. Beautiful pit girls posing beside exotic cars….It feel as though I died and went to heaven. The awesome part of this festival is of course the actual race. Cars that accelerate 0 – 100kmh in 2 seconds!!! God damn that’s like going 1…2… and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzznggg you are at the end of a football field. That’s its pure simplicity, girls, fast cars and isn’t that the perfect heaven for must guys?

F1 RACE
(Take note that the safety car which is the silver mercedes in the front of the other F1 cars was out, the cars were actually going slower due to that reason.)

In conclusion to me anything can be a festival, it just depends what the occasion is and what you make out of it. The above are just some of my personal experiences with festivals, but just as long as you are having a good time thats what matters most.
Till then my fellow readers have a lil bit of fiz.

Animal Rights Part 2 – Are we Human? Or are We Monsters?

(Pic from www.thailandunique.com)

Just to be special,
We are consumed as a meal,
Why such an appeal,

(pic from http://www.life.com)

Its cold and I wait,
For a man to consume me,
Take away the pain,

(pic from http://maxent.org)

We call them human
But monsters is what they are
such pain for a meal.

Written By Muhammad Hafiz

Looking at these pictures bring such horrors to my mind. Hence the title “Are We Human? Or are we monsters? We call ourselves the superior race; we say that humans can feel remorse and pity. However is that really true? Just to look better then another human we are willing to be cruel. Without noticing our greed and ignorance, we have brought ourselves to become monsters. How can we actually call ourselves humans anymore when we are willing to kill for our own self satisfaction instead of survival?

We all eat other animals, and other animals eat other animals. It’s the normal circle of life and we can accept that. We farm animals and then we consume them as meat such as poultry and beef. We could excuse ourselves for doing that because we do need to consume to survive. Also most of the animals would be slaughtered accordingly. Even in some religions we were thought to slaughter them before consuming them. However can we excuse ourselves when we choose to be cruel just because we think something tastes better?

Do we actually need to eat something while it’s still alive? I believe that some people choose to actually be cruel. These people have the need and want to believe that they are better then animals and other human beings. I say this because they have already made a decision in their own minds that they are above everything. Therefore I think people who just consume animals with such carnage and cruelty are no better then monsters.

(pic from www.furisdead.com)

How about the people who live for fashion? Fashion to me has its good and it’s bad. When we get to look good sometimes it gives us confidence. We only need clothes to protect us from the elements; however fashion does help us look good. Although fashion in the end is decided by us, to me beauty is in the eye of the beholder and if you feel good, you look good. However that would be my own opinion, everyone in the end has their own. Take a moment and think; do we need to look good in animal fur? Fashion is governed by us we control fashion and because of that we actually have no excuse to wear fur. We already live in buildings hence we are already sheltered from the elements. Apart from that we also have so many alternatives to fur. So the big question is, we control fashion, we created fashion, we are sheltered from the elements, but there are still monsters wearing fur.

(pic from www.furisdead.com)

Why why why why why! These monsters have no respect for other creatures; their vanity and ego are just too big. These monsters need to realize that we share this planet with animals. The funny solution would be to make such a fashion hype to wear human skin on top one’s own skin. Would another human then be so cruel to actually wear another person’s skin on another? I don’t believe that we would, therefore the solution is to believe and know that animals do have rights. They are nearly the same as us, they have children, they feel pain, and they get scared. Remember don’t treat other’s they way you don’t want to be treated and that goes for animals as well.

Animal Rights Part 1 – The little Ray of Light

A ray of sunlight touched my skin, I felt the warmth and slowly woke up from my sleep. It was such a pleasant surprise to feel that warmth after spending a whole night in a dark damp room. Alas that is actually the highlight of the day for me; it saddens me to know I have nothing else to look forward to in the day. My name? I never had one, neither have I ever felt the love of a mother. I only like to think that the others that live here with me are my brothers and sisters. However its only safe to assume that even thought we look alike we are not from the same mother. I hear that usual sound of something scratching on the roof of my house and chirping. Curiosity always got me; I always wondered what made that sound just a few feet above my head. All a sudden without a warning I got bitten by one of my brothers. This is not unusual to me especially when were not even a foot a way from each other. To make matters worse he was nearly twice my size and I know for a fact he has not had his lunch. I just had to ask him why the aggression.Just for the sake of convenience his name is Jack.

Me: Okay Jack what's the problem??

Jack: what's the problem??
i haven't got a problem,
I've got fxxxxg problems
Plural!! wanna hear??

Me: Sure

Jack: well most recently there's a scary Mexican gangster dude poking his finger in my chest.
There’s his hooligan kids’ snapping their fingers at me.
There’s putrid rotting corps of a dead rabbit stuffed in the springs of the bed
There are rooms blazing of fire...
There’s a big fat needle from god-knows-where stuck in my leg infecting me with god-knows-what...
And finally, there's me, walking out the door, right fxxxxxg now.....adios!

Welcome to my world, never a hint of love but all the hate. My purpose to live was to die for human vanity. However I was not going to walk that path, no way will I die without a purpose. That day was the day when it started off with a ray of sunlight, and ending with my freedom. All this was made possible when I followed jack right out the door he made secretly.

Before we left I managed to take some pictures of Jack and the place I used to live in:

(pic from http://janheera-tumblr.com)

This would be Jack ever so brave, though looking behind those eyes i felt his fear of the Gangster dude.

(Pic from www.furisdead.com)

Jack and myself actually used to live here. Looking back in the past i cant believe that we lived in such conditions.

"There’s putrid rotting corps of a dead rabbit stuffed in the springs of the bed" as mentioned by Jack.

Now thinking back again and again. I felt that it was unfair that i was treated as such. Was it really fair for me to live in those conditions only to die for Human Vanity? If it was a human in the cage would they so willingly die for another's vanity? I felt i did the right thing for myself when i escaped. MY OWN FREEDOM! MY OWN LIBERATION! I am not an item, I have my rights! I am a Mink and i have ANIMAL RIGHTS!

Racial Harmony Part 2

Back again, this time with the second part of my views on racial harmony in our beloved country Malaysia and the world. I mentioned previously one of the important ingredients to achieve racial harmony would be tolerance amongst the races. Reason being is because we will be able to learn more from each other. Rather then discriminating each other we should learn to accept our differences and views. As quoted by Martin Luther King “Lukewarm acceptance is more bewildering than outright rejection”.

And by successfully doing all that, Malaysia has managed to achieve racial harmony. Here are some experiences I have of it:

Back in the past there have been schools which segregate each race from another. Not to say it does not exist anymore, it’s just that its evident, more institutes nowadays caters for all races. Also it is common to see another race in another race’s school nowadays. Take note however, that even though a school targeted for a specific race exists; it is not because of racism. The reason is simply because they would probably be teaching with another races mother tongue.

With racial harmony it is now common to see the younger generation socializing with multiple races. Unlike in the past there could have been a high chance that most parents would have condemned it.

The way we think on sports even has changed due to racial harmony. The best example to me personally would be when bobsledding was a white mans sport. Until 1988 when the first Jamaican bobsled team made their debut. This shows that sports has also evolved and learnt to accept other races. Not just in Malaysia of course but the whole world.

Last but not least it is now ever so common to have a best friend who’s not of the same color or race. That was made possible just by accepting each other as people. Rather then looking at someone’s skin color and criticizing their differences, we learn that skin deep we are all the same and we have so much to offer each other.

This is a short video i made which consists of Racial Harmony in Malaysia:

Racial Harmony

(Pic of Kuala Lumpur,Malaysia)

Racial Harmony in Malaysia is really something to behold. Especially when given the examples how we celebrate each races celebrations with unity. Exclusively to Malaysia would be the subject of open houses. Whether we would be celebrating Hari Raya (for the Malays), Chinese New Year (for the Chinese of course), Deepavali (For the Indians) or be it any other festivity, open houses will be held. What makes it more interesting is that sometimes these festivals actually are celebrated during the same date. This is interesting as I have only experienced this phenomenon in Malaysia where celebrations get united together.

Example

: Chinese New Years + Hari Raya = Gong XI Raya

:Deepavali + Hari Raya = Deeparaya

The reason why this could happen is because the muslims don’t follow the standard calendars like the other celebrations. That’s why sometimes the dates would clash to make a united celebration.

Since Malaysia is a country of many races, this also means that each of them would embrace different religions. Some of which would be Christianity, Islam, Hinduism , Buddhism just to name a few; and as a result of all this , racial unity prevails through all the celebrated festivities.

For that reason, it is common to see citizens of different races and religions under on roof enjoying each others company without any discrimination towards one another. Also what I personally find interesting is how each race in Malaysia has shared so many things with each other. Food is the best example; the varieties of foods are endless in Malaysia since there are so many races. What makes Malaysia out of the ordinary is the fact that each race has a personal favorite of another races food.

I have a friend whom is Chinese and his grown to love the Malays delicacy which is “Nasi Lemak”. I myself have fallen in love with the all time Chinese delicacy which is “Dim Sum”(Nasi Lemak Left Dim Sum Right)

So how does Malaysia manage to grow Racial Harmony between its many races? To me one of the important ingredients to achieve that would be tolerance amongst the races. That of course, would be mentioned in my next entry.

Till then, Have a lil bit of Fiz

College Life

Initiating the day

Its been a while that I actually have to wake up and see the blinding sunlight and realize that I am yet again involved in the rat race. Nevertheless who cares when you are just too psyched to meet new friends and start college, to me it feels like being reborn as everything is new. Woke up got ready to go and I remembered about that small talk I had with my friend the previous night. It was regarding that 15 minute rule. I am sure everyone knows what I am talking about.

For Example: you have to be in college at 9am

if you leave at 8.15am you will most likely arrive at 9am.

However if you leave at 8am you will arrive at 8.15am.

In conclusion its wake up early and wait in college versus sleep in for 15 minutes and get stuck in a jam for 45 minutes (well this is considering you live 15 minutes from college of course). Well I decided to wake up at 8am, just too excited to get to college . Plus i really Hate getting stuck in the traffic jam.

First Hand Experience

Skipping all the boring details on the way to college, I arrived just as the orientation started (I actually got lost in the college). To my surprise there were no clique's like the first college I was previously in (yes I used to study business in Kolej Damansara Utama). Hmmm so its not always the same, I guess the guy who quoted “every experience is a new one” knew what he was talking about. First things first of course, I started make some friends; to my surprise it was unbelievably easy. Remember this was just an orientation and on the first day as well. However not to brag, the few friends I got to know first were all girls, and as a guy you would feel swollen with pride if you are the only guy amongst four beautiful girls.

Enjoying it and Taking it in

From then on everything was a breeze for my new friends and myself from the normal paying your fees , finding out where to eat, registering your subjects and all the “have to do and will do things” in college. In any case let’s fast forward to the part where things get interesting. That would be orientation night, where everyone dresses up and supposedly everything goes wild. This is the only time when the entire new intakes meet up for an actual party and forget the formalities of the initial orientation on the first day. On that very night I also got to meet more new friends . It also seems that everyone was getting to know each other all over again and sharing each others experiences before they entered college. Soon enough some of the refreshments got served, nothing fancy just some fried foods and some noodles. After enjoying what was served i realized that I had some time left while awaiting for the next event.Lucky for me moments after i was invited by my new friends to join them outside the hall ( thank god i thought i would get bored to death). Reason being it was just much easier to talk outside as it was quieter. It was then it dawned to me that, we were all just kids who are growing up and as of now we were all creating a bond with each other. In my thoughts I was thinking, “that we are all now comrades here to achieve one goal which is to finish and complete our diploma”. At the same time we were all realizing that this is it, college has started and it brings us one more step closer to adulthood and soon enough working life……..Comrades Lets do this!
